Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival – Arusha
Airport pick-up and transfer to your hotel.
Overnight.

Day 2: Rongai Gate → 1st Caves Camp (2,600 m)
Drive to the trailhead and begin a gentle ascent through forest.
Dinner & overnight.

Day 3: 1st Caves → Kikelewa Cave (3,600 m)
Steady climb with changing landscapes and rising altitude.
Dinner & overnight.

Day 4: Kikelewa → Mawenzi Tarn (4,330 m)
Short but steep trek with stunning views of Mawenzi Peak.
Dinner & overnight.

Day 5: Mawenzi Tarn → Kibo Hut (4,700 m)
Cross the alpine desert “Saddle” and prepare for summit.
Dinner & overnight.

Day 6: Summit → Horombo Hut (3,720 m)
Midnight ascent to Uhuru Peak (5,895 m), descend after sunrise.
Dinner & overnight.

Day 7: Horombo → Arusha
Final descent and transfer back to Arusha.
